4 Steps to Salvation
Step 1 – God loves you and has a plan for you!
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ is the Son of God!
Jesus said, …“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10) a complete life full of purpose.
But here’s the problem:
Step 2 – Man is sinful and separated from God
In the beginning Adam and Eve chose to disobey God by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. From that moment fellowship was broken. There had to be a blood sacrifice for their disobedience. God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. Friend, sin will never go unpunished (read Genesis 3).
Romans 3:10 says, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: — the root word for righteous is right. This means that no one is right!
We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls “sin.” The Bible says, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans3:23).
Romans 6:23 declares, For the wages of sin is death; — Look at what the Bible says about sin:
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
The first death is when our physical bodies die and we are separated from our loved ones. The second death, as mentioned in this verse, is when we are separated from God for eternity.
There is good news, so look back at Romans 6:23…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
Step 3 – God sent His Son to die for your sins!
Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever. Jesus was our blood sacrifice!
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us.
But it did not end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!
1 Corinthians 15:3-4…Christ died for our sins according to the scripture; and that He was
buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:
buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures: Romans 10:9-139 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 10For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.13“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Notice these words: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!
John 14:6 Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no
one comes to the Father, but through Me”
Step 4 – Would you like to receive God’s forgiveness?
Salvation is as easy as A, B, C; Accept, Believe and Confess your sins to an almighty God!
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
Ephesians 2: 8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
We cannot earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe you are a sinner, believe that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then, turn from your sins (that is called repentance).
Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, and
your honesty.
Sinner’s Prayer
This is a prayer you can pray to accept Christ as your Saviour:
“Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I know if I died right now I would go to Hell. I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I will trust and follow you as my Lord and
Saviour. Guide my life, and help me to do your will. I ask you, Jesus, to come into my heart this
day to be Lord and Master in my life
In Jesus name,
Amen”!

Depending on your family background or religious tradition, you may have heard a variety of ideas about salvation.
Perhaps you think it’s what happens when you walk an aisle, pray a prayer or get baptized. Maybe you believe salvation is only for “good people,” or that salvation is something you have to earn with good works or something you can lose if you do bad things.
You don’t have to wonder or doubt. Jesus wants you to know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13).That’s why the Bible — God’s Word to us — is clear about every aspect of salvation.
Until you have been saved by Jesus, you’re the walking dead. Trapped in your sins. Spiritually unconscious. Separated from God.
Jesus came to earth, died on a cross, and was raised to life to rescue you from sin, make you alive, and bring you into eternal relationship with God. Salvation is not only a matter of life after death, but also the way to live an abundant life on earth with Jesus, here and now.
Simply put, Jesus is salvation, and salvation is life (1 John 5:12).
How Are You Saved?
Jesus saves you when you repent and trust in Jesus’ forgiveness for your sins. Your salvation is God’s gift to you. It is not earned by anything you do. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. and& is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Prayer is a way to communicate our belief to God.
Who Can Be Saved?
Salvation is for all people. No one’s sin is greater than God’s grace. Jesus’ desire is for everyone to be saved. (2 Peter 3:9; John 3:16).
When is a Person Saved?
God loved us so much that He sent His one and only son into the world so that when we believe, we are given eternal life. We are saved when we believe and receive the truth of the Gospel. You don’t need to be able to remember the time or place of that decision to know you’re saved.
How Do We Know We’re Saved?
The evidence of our salvation is what’s happening in us now. Jesus gives every believer the Holy Spirit, which gives us a desire to live for God and the ability to hear, recognize and respond to God’s voice.
To love God, to want to trust and follow Him, to enjoy His presence, to hear God’s voice in Scripture, and to feel conviction of sin and the need for repentance are all common experiences of those who are saved (John 10:3-5).
Can You Lose Your Salvation?
You didn’t earn your salvation, so you can’t lose your salvation. If you have put your trust in Jesus and the Holy Spirit has changed your heart, God promises that nothing and no one can separate you from Him. (John 10:27; Romans 8:38-39.)
Do You Want To Be Saved?
Perhaps you’ve felt unworthy of salvation because of your past. Perhaps you’ve thought good works and keeping rules saved you. Maybe you thought you were saved because you were baptized or prayed a prayer, without experiencing a change of heart.
The good news is that Jesus is calling you to trust and believe that he has done all the work. Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection means we are forgiven and set free to live an abundant life with God here on earth and in eternity.
If you are ready to believe and receive God’s gift of salvation, simply talk to God and commit your life Him:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I’ve fallen short. I’ve sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe that You lived, died and rose again so that I could be connected to God. I confess you as my Lord and commit my life to You. I give you my past, present and future. Take my life and use it. I give it to You. Amen.”
